Criteria for Energizing Canada International Entrance Scholarship

The Energizing Canada International Entrance Scholarship is awarded yearly to a foreign student entering their first year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Calgary.

The scholarship details

It is renewable in the second, third, and fourth year at the University of Calgary, providing recipients achieve a minimum GPA of 3.00 across a minimum of 24.00 units in the prior fall and winter terms.

The criteria for this scholarship type include;

1. It’s based on academic merit.
2. Candidates must have proof of financial need.
3. Applicants must have graduated from a recognized high school in China, which includes Hong Kong and Macau.
4. Preference for students attending the Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Health Sciences, or Bachelor of Arts – Urban Studies programs.

Criteria for The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship

It is offered annually to undergraduate international students starting their first year of any undergraduate degree in the next autumn term who have met the university’s English Language Proficiency criterion.

The Scholarship detail

• The scholarship is renewable in the second, third, and fourth years at the University of Calgary, providing recipients maintain a GPA of 2.60 or above over a minimum of 24.00 units in the prior fall and winter terms and continue to pay the international differential tuition fee as an international student.
• International students who are neither Canadian citizens nor Permanent Residents must pay a difference fee
• Candidates must also demonstrate academic merit.

How to Apply For University of Calgary Scholarships 2025

To apply for this scholarship, please follow the application steps below;

1. Apply to your undergraduate program at the university. You can begin your application. Start by generating a UCalgary eID.
2. Use the application guide to help you complete your application.
3. Submit your application and pay the $145 application fee. Based on your application, we’ll notify you in your Calgary Student Center about how and where to submit any required documentation.

1. Access your Student Center using the myUofC portal.
2. In your Student Center, navigate to the “My Financials” page.
3. Scroll down to the Awards & Scholarships section, then click “Apply for Undergraduate Awards”.
4. Please confirm that popups are enabled. If popups are prohibited, the page will not load.
5. A pop-up window will appear on your screen displaying any currently open or recently closed applications.
6. Please note the Application Available and Application Deadline dates.
