How to factory reset Acer laptops

Before we get into the solutions, I will like you to understand what it means to factory reset a PC or a laptop.

A factory reset is a software restoration of any electronic device to its actual or original state by clearing all the information that has been stored on the electronic device.

So in this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to factory reset or return your system to its original state. So without further ado, let’s get right into it.

If you want to restore/factory reset your Acer laptop, you are in the right place. Make sure that your laptop is turned off. Then hold the keys Alt button and F10 button together and hit the power button.

Once the computer boots up, you will see a please wait for command on the screen, and that’s gonna bring us to the menu where we can restore our computer.

You will see options to restore your computer. Click on “Troubleshoot”. This will take you to another screen.

When you will click on “Reset this PC” just follow the on-screen instructions, it’s really simple guys.

If your computer is locked, you forgot your password or you corrupted the system, this is a very easy fix for it.

click on “Remove everything”. After you have done that, you will see a “Reset this PC” getting ready.

Wait for a little bit, then your laptop will ask you if you want to “just remove my files” or “fully clean the drive”. Click on “fully clean the drive”.

Then click on reset. Make sure you keep your laptop on while it resets your PC for you. Sit back and watch while the Pc resets.
